The Spirited Crane is a fan fiction based on the Japanese card game Battle Spirits.

Dearan is an ordinary high school student who used to be lively and full of hope, but ever since the rest of his family members passed away in a plane crash, his life came to a downfall.

"'In order to progress, you must first choose to be extraordinary,' this is what someone told me years ago, but I can't quite remember who he was. However, what I did realise instead was that it was impossible to fulfil that statement. Why are you here? And why are you so eager to stay with me?"
