Cassandra also known as Cassie is facing a crisis. Being one of the only black kids in Ridgewood High isn't easy. Especially since Ridgewood is so segregated. All the white people stay in their group also called the Head. And all the black people stay in their group called the Bottom. And the Bottom Group is significantly smaller than the Head group. Cassie didn't want any part of it. So she didn't take any part in it. She was her own group. Cassur faces racial discrimination everywhere from school, to the orphanage, even in the studio where she dances. But even so she made a promise to herself. A promise to herself that she swore to keep. "No one will keep me from Soaring" **if you have seen this story before I had an account but it deleted. Starting fresh. Don't be freaked out.

"Cassie," Aaron says. "I have detention. For two hours." My mouth drops open. "Fuck me," I groan. "Sorry," he smirks. "But you're not my type." --------- Cassandra Parker isn't looking for male attention; she just wants to make it through her last year of high school at Hilltop High with her two friends, Gracie and Gabs. But when she makes a deal with her parents to wear more gender tailored clothes, she is officially placed on the radar of almost every male at her school, including Aaron Brewer's. Aaron Brewer is a player in almost every sense of the word, sleeping with girls and then dropping them the next morning. All that changes when he meets Cass, who doesn't fall at his feet like the other girls. They grow closer, sleeping--innocently--together, partaking in almost-kisses and a variety of other things, but when a secret is revealed to Cass by two of the most important people in her life, loyalties are tested and boundaries are crossed as a person from her past infiltrates her present and threatens her future. ~~~ *Not edited* -- also, i literally wrote this book when i was like. 15? finished it when I was like 16? and then never touched it again.
