When Mae Martinez and Jake Framer are sent to work at Hands and Hooves Ranch in Floydsville, Texas as a form of community service, their worlds get turned upside down. So do the lives of the ranchers' three kids, Charles, Matthew, and Bessie Johnson. The Johnson boys aren't happy about having to share their ranch with the two kids who were literally only there because they had committed a crime (or multiple in Mae's case). They were worried that the two would be a bad influence on their precious little sister. But as the kids start to get to know each other, Charles and Matthew realize that they Mae and Jake are both amazing people. But all three boys can't help but notice how secretive Mae is...
