I froze noticing the blur of a shadow behind her. I looked up slowly from the dark jeans to the black top, and black leather jacket then to the beautiful face I had come to recognise. I could feel my heart pumping, the air froze deep into my core. My senses were on high alert, I could feel it and there was no mistaking it. One word echoing in my head. 

Danger.

I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her. Who knew that just one short encounter at work with a god-like man, would flip her life entirely upside down, and nothing would ever be the same again. So much for normal.
