This story takes place 16 years after the death of Kiran. L and Zens adopted his Godson Katriel and his Goddaughter Arielle as their own but when Trux dies and focus Zens to step up to the role as King leaving L and his children on Earth to live out their lives before they would join him in the Shinigami would after death.
