The Nine Worlds of medieval times are threatened by threats from Norse and Gaelic mythology, and only the teenagers -- the Venetian mariner's daughter, Clarinda, and Hospitaller knight, Ríg -- can prevent the return of the darkest of the Artifacts of Destiny, the Codex Lacrimae.

If they manage to survive, Clarinda & Ríg will discover whether friendship and perhaps love can stand against the host of villainous enemies, supernatural forces, and the march-to-war on different planes of existence caused by the return of the most corrupt of the Books of Fates, and the different paths that they will choose are unexpected and filled with perils that are literally out of this world.

In action-filled journeys and breathtaking battles that range across exotic locales such as the besieged Krak des Chevaliers on Midgard, to the Weeping Wood of Svartalfheim, the Dwarf-Caverns of Nidaveller, and even to the fabled Fjords of Asgard, the relationship between the Norn and Hospitaller knight develops and deepens.

With an unpredictable outcome that confounds traditional expectations of the genre and begins the tale of a thousand year-romance, this first book of The Artifacts of Destiny will surprise and delight readers of epic fantasy!

"So if we don't get there soon, we lose, right? We lose Merlin and Hera will end the world?" "Camelot will end, Greece will end... Even your own world will be gone." 'You knights are our only hope.' Luna's signing really sold it. If they didn't stop Hera soon, the whole world would end. "Alright. What do we have to do?" ********** As far as the world knows, Camelot and ancient Greece never conflicted. Never associated, never spoke, never interacted. In fact, it would be safe to say that the two worlds didn't even exist at the same time. Until they do. An untold story that changes every story you've ever known. The Knights of Camelot rule as kings and queens, the first since the death of the legendary King Arthur. Sharing the duties among the six of them and under the guidance of the warlock, Merlin, these teenagers travel between Camelot and the modern world, the first time travelers, to protect the land they've adopted as their own. The Goddlets are used to living in a world of their own. As the children of the gods, they are used to getting away with whatever they want. Not used to many changes in their quiet world, they aren't prepared for what comes next. When the Knights and the Goddlets are called together on a quest to save Merlin from the clutches of Hera, the queen of the Greek gods, two very different worlds collide in a race against the clock to save the world. With limited time at their hands and everything they know and love at stake, the Knights and the Goddlets team up to put an end to Hera's destructive reign. The worlds of Camelot and ancient Greece collide in this action-packed book. Classic characters meet new faces in a complete retelling of universes people both know and love. {Entered in the Open Novella Contest under prompt 83: "This assignment requires us to act like adults. 32 parts Complete
📚2018 Wattys Shortlist!📚 An ancient evil returns. The Huntsmen of Muspelheim want the Codex Lacrimae, so they've set a trap in 12th Century Crusader lands to get it! Believed lost for half a millennium, the Codex Lacrimae reappears when an old scholar brings the Dark Book to the Hospitaller castle of the Krak des Chevaliers. Unwittingly, that action leads the malevolent Huntsmen to the one person they've been seeking: Ríg, an apprentice who trains the warrior-monks in the castle's library and seeks only a quiet existence because of a haunted past. The arrival of the Codex Lacrimae and its supernatural temptations will force Ríg to choose between the peaceful path of a priest or violent ways of a warrior. Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away, the Norns of Fate try to counter the Huntsmen's plot by casting a net around Clarinda Trevisan, a beautiful Venetian sea merchant's daughter who is content to sail with her father's fleet throughout the Mediterranean Sea. After her father disappears, Clarinda's attempt to solve the mystery pulls her into both Ríg's orbit and matters far greater than the cargoes and crews that usually occupy her time. The girl must learn the ways of war and magic to fulfill Fate's role, and confront strange creatures of Norse mythology, a nefarious Templar Grandmaster, the magical Nine Worlds, and a tempestuous relationship with Ríg himself! The return of the Codex Lacrimae unleashes a host of evils that might challenge even the most star-crossed of lovers. If Clarinda & Ríg can't stop the Huntsmen of Muspelheim, Hela and her Wilde Jagd, the Dragon Fafnir, the armies of Saladin, & a mysterious figure whose dark designs are centuries in the making, they'll find the worlds of the Multiverse at the brink of annihilation!

In These Days of War

18 parts Ongoing Mature

The elven kingdom of Tírnéth, weakened by civil war, is unable to ward off the threat posed by the mortal men of Carransii. For the first time in recorded history, foreign feet scale the Aghadh Mountains and tread elven land in pursuit of the most coveted thing in the world: The magic of the Misty Bog. Lying to the north of Tírnéth and governed by the Seelie Queen, it is a domain even elves are forbidden from entering. Even so, Princess Eimhir and her younger sisters make the journey to its border at the behest of her father, King Lorcán, in a desperate bid to preserve his legacy as the enemy closes in from the south. He entrusts his daughters to the care of his enigmatic Warden of the North, who holds her lonely vigil in the Grey Tower of the Wall of Devin. But in these days of war, Eimhir refuses to be passive. She will not be a damsel in distress awaiting the cold kiss of her enemy's blade. With her mind honed by the cutthroat politics of the royal court, she wields it like a weapon, but can she maintain her ruthlessness through the burgeoning feelings she holds for her protector?
