The Nine Worlds of medieval times are threatened by threats from Norse and Gaelic mythology, and only the teenagers -- the Venetian mariner's daughter, Clarinda, and Hospitaller knight, Ríg -- can prevent the return of the darkest of the Artifacts of Destiny, the Codex Lacrimae.

If they manage to survive, Clarinda & Ríg will discover whether friendship and perhaps love can stand against the host of villainous enemies, supernatural forces, and the march-to-war on different planes of existence caused by the return of the most corrupt of the Books of Fates, and the different paths that they will choose are unexpected and filled with perils that are literally out of this world.

In action-filled journeys and breathtaking battles that range across exotic locales such as the besieged Krak des Chevaliers on Midgard, to the Weeping Wood of Svartalfheim, the Dwarf-Caverns of Nidaveller, and even to the fabled Fjords of Asgard, the relationship between the Norn and Hospitaller knight develops and deepens.

With an unpredictable outcome that confounds traditional expectations of the genre and begins the tale of a thousand year-romance, this first book of The Artifacts of Destiny will surprise and delight readers of epic fantasy!

A tale sought to be as old as time. A story told around a campfire as the children eagerly leaned in, hungry for the next plot. The story of young gods that commanded the winds and tides, that wove your fate and destiny; gods that rode into battle on the backs of mighty steads, axe in hand, and shield in the other. A story of thunder and lightning, and snakes that writhed through tall grass. A story of love. Asgard and Vanaheim. Two sister realms of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Both realms raged war for centuries over a long forgotten matter. Thousands killed, cities laid to waste. From this war, Freya and Iwaldi, rulers of Vanaheim, strike a truce with the All-Father Odin in attempt to finally bring everlasting peace through the Nine Realms. Sigyn, Princess of Vanaheim, and Thor, Son of Odin, are arranged to marry for the sake of their realms. Neither of them want it. Neither of them love each other. The young God of Mischief, however, brews himself a plan. But, with all the bad luck in the nine realms, Loki falls for the young Princess. Young love blossoms like a flower from its bud. Both families are against it and try everything in their power to keep them apart. It's not an ideal match. The silver-tongued Prince cannot be trusted to keep everlasting peace. Whether it be The Norns, nothing can keep them apart in the end. Until a terrible tragedy bestows them and Loki falls from Asgard. (Based on Norse Mythology.)

Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

"So if we don't get there soon, we lose, right? We lose Merlin and Hera will end the world?" "Camelot will end, Greece will end... Even your own world will be gone." 'You knights are our only hope.' Luna's signing really sold it. If they didn't stop Hera soon, the whole world would end. "Alright. What do we have to do?" ********** As far as the world knows, Camelot and ancient Greece never conflicted. Never associated, never spoke, never interacted. In fact, it would be safe to say that the two worlds didn't even exist at the same time. Until they do. An untold story that changes every story you've ever known. The Knights of Camelot rule as kings and queens, the first since the death of the legendary King Arthur. Sharing the duties among the six of them and under the guidance of the warlock, Merlin, these teenagers travel between Camelot and the modern world, the first time travelers, to protect the land they've adopted as their own. The Goddlets are used to living in a world of their own. As the children of the gods, they are used to getting away with whatever they want. Not used to many changes in their quiet world, they aren't prepared for what comes next. When the Knights and the Goddlets are called together on a quest to save Merlin from the clutches of Hera, the queen of the Greek gods, two very different worlds collide in a race against the clock to save the world. With limited time at their hands and everything they know and love at stake, the Knights and the Goddlets team up to put an end to Hera's destructive reign. The worlds of Camelot and ancient Greece collide in this action-packed book. Classic characters meet new faces in a complete retelling of universes people both know and love. {Entered in the Open Novella Contest under prompt 83: "This assignment requires us to act like adults.
