When I wake up, the other side of the bed is cold. My fingers danced out, seeking Jackson's warmth but finding only the rough canvas cover the mattress. He must have started breakfast already, and almost as if on cue the delicious smell of eggs, bacon, hash-browns, and chocolate-chip pancakes, one of my favorite breakfasts.
