My usual daily post came through the door. I collected the letters and then sat down at my dining room table. Sifting through the many letters and flyers, many of which were bills, I found a piece of card. A post card, for me? It clearly said my name in printed writing: Leeanna Druith. Who would send a post card to me? I continued to read the postcard. This person stated to me my dad. The dad I had never met. I had been adopted you see, given away at birth, never knew my real parents. My adoptive family were very good friends with my real parents. They didn’t tell me who they were, I guess, I didn’t want to know. They said I could find them myself I wanted to. One thing they did tell me is that they are called Aura and Jack. Stories and stories about how great my real parents were, travellers, all over the world. I don’t know what they were thinking when they had me, probably wanted to give me to my family as I know now. I am happy though, not the typical ‘I really want to meet them".
