Hera Cortez

"Cheers" tinaas ko ang bote na hawak ko. My first year in college. Ito ako, libotera ng taon. Walwalera ng taon. But to make new friends. Kailangan makipagsabayan. How I wish I was still in high school. Tamang pacool lang ako. The bad girl type but don't get me wrong. I'm also grade conscious.

"Hera, sabay na tayo umuwi..." That's my boy. Cupid. Bestfriend ko yan since grade 9 kami. Nalipat lang yang ugok nayan sa section namin dahil nag-recognition siya. Our section was kinda high section.

Since then I looked at him, not just as a bestfriend but also... my crush? I liked him e! He's gwapo kase. And you know a gentleman.

"Hindi ako sasabay. Aki got my back" he just softly smiled. Alam niya nayun. Manglalandi ako. Aki is also gwapo.

2 years of having him too close to me! Uyy hirap kaya. 9 and 10 pretending to be so called bff ako tapos I like him. So hard kaya.

"Aki, can you really drive ba talaga? Or me nalang?" Pacute ko sakanya. We met twice then he became my friend. Okay. Kalandian. I'm so malandi hayst.

"Hera" may humawak sa braso ko. Uminom ako pero hindi pa ako lasing. Clear pa lahat sakin to! "Akin ka na sumabay.." ang noo niya na bumaba ng kaunti na akala mo ay kinukumbinsi ako. "Lagot ako sa barkadahan kapag may nangyare sayo" oh yes! Yun lang naman pero bat sobra akong affected?! Syemre he cares dahil I'm part of the group.

"No, Aki's just tipsy but he can manage and I won't do anything stupid naman" kumbinsi ko sakanya. He sighed. Ofcourse, he won't win to me.

"Be safe..." That's what he told me then he kiss me on the cheeks. Casual lang yun for us.

"I wish I had never met you!" Deepika's voice echoed across the classroom, each word a dagger to my heart. "Excellent! At least we finally agree on something!" I fired back, even as a tear betrayed the storm of emotions within me. With those final, stinging words, Deepika stormed out, leaving a heavy silence in her wake. But I couldn't deny what I saw-the familiar brown Royal Enfield, now twisted and crushed. I felt the world shift, the noise around me blurring into a single, deafening hum. Ambulance and police sirens echoed, and a stranger's voice broke through: "Two boys. Spot dead. College students." I clutched my chest, gasping for air as reality slammed into me. "Arjun..." I whispered, barely holding myself together. Tears stung my face as I sank beside the wreck. "No, Please, No!" My voice cracked as the weight of regret settled in, suffocating me. ✨ Ex-Crush: More than just a crush, but a little less than love. ✨ Arjun and Deepika were hopelessly in love-only they never realized it. Will they find their way to each other, or will their love story remain forever unfinished? ✨ Join Arjun and Deepika on a journey back to those dreamy college days-days where every moment felt eternal, love was unspoken yet ever present, where friendship bloomed like wildflowers, offering a sanctuary from the harsh winds of reality. ‶Get out of my sight before I do something I'll regret!″ the eldest shouted, his voice laced with fury. ‶I will. But I'm taking her with me,″ his younger brother replied, his expression unwavering. ‶Don't you dare come near her! She won't end up like you!″ the eldest retorted, his eyes ablaze with anger. Amidst their yelling match, a young girl sat under the table, her eyes overflowing with tears and head throbbing uncontrollably. Her family had always been an unconventional one, but that day marked its transition from unconventional to unhappy. ************************* Miles apart, a young boy looked at the star marred sky with twinkling eyes. As the shooting star made its appearance, he closed his eyes and prayed for the one thing he craved for the most. 'A happy family.' ‶What did you wish for?″ a manly voice interrupted him. ‶Death.″
