In the future, there are special boarding schools all around the world that train students to become Sword Warriors, people trained to fight in competition. They fight with swords that have personalities, weaknesses, a skill set, and even powers.
Gemstone gets enrolled in one of the schools after being found on the streets. When she receives her sword, something is different. The sword doesn't just have a personality; the sword is actually a real boy, stuck in the weapon. Gemstone and the boy meet in person, and as they see each other more, they fall in love. But somehow the word gets out, and people are sent to kill Gemstone and her "weapon". Can she save the boy she loves from destruction? Can she even save herself?
