Seven years ago, the world changed forever. Giant monsters slithered out of the depths of the ocean, heralds of apocalyptic carnage from another dimension. Kaiju. Five years ago, the world changed again. To fight these monsters, we created monsters of own. Jaegers. Now, hundreds of people from around the globe converge in Anchorage every January and June, vying to have the chance to pilot a Jaeger. They bring with them their brothers, sisters, childhood best friend, wife, husband, and life partner, hoping they'll be drift compatible and deemed Ranger Ready six months later. Sang Sorenson Roberts is one of these candidates. But, unlike the rest of the candidates, she didn't come with a potential co-pilot. She has no brother, sister, best friend or partner, and her dreams of piloting a Jaeger start to crumble in front of her... until she's marked as potentially drift compatible with nine guys she had never met before.
Join Sang and the Blackbourne boys as they navigate the world of Pacific Rim, witnessing the golden age of the Jaeger program and its eventual fall from grace, and experiencing love, joy, victory, grief, immense sadness and loss. This the story of becoming a hero the hard way.
This is a Ghost Bird/Pacific Rim fanfic, none of the characters belong to me, only the plot. This is heavily based on Generation K, a beautiful Pacific Rim fanfic on A03 that spans the whole Kaiju War and I'm using a lot of the author's fanon. This my love letter to Pacific Rim and Generation K.

The Vigilante Damsel in Distress
In this Ghostbird Fanfic Sang never makes it to Charleston, SC. Sang saves herself before ever meeting her boys. She isn't abandoned by family, she won't put up with abuse, and doesn't feel it's her duty to take care of a monster. Every victim of abuse reacts differently. I personally was defiant and refused to believe what I was told or that I deserved it. I wanted Sang to have my spirit. I wanted Sang to have even more than my spirit actually as I didn't save myself but Sang will save herself. So if Sang was never the timid bird we know her as who will she become? If she ends up knowing a normal life and allowed to mature and know healthy relationships before meeting the boys how will that go? I'll alter the boys as well. When I look back now on CL's books they come across as guys who don't like confident women and have hero complexes. I can't remember exactly what they say about the Academy girls and why they won't date them but basically it's because the girls are confident and sure of themselves and apparently that's not good? So no these guys won't be like that. The core of who they are will be the same though. I feel like the Toma team does appreciate confident women already so they won't need to be altered at all. I digress lets see how the story flows with our Sang being her own hero and the havoc she'll unleash on our boys. Finally, these characters are not my own but the plot is my own. So no stealing my plot and give all credit of characters to CL Stone. I will reference to some scenes from her books as well as the boys will still do the Ashley Waters mission and deal with Volto. The actual scenes from her books won't be in my own though just referenced in flashbacks and such.Complete

Sang found a white mask on her bed. The Blackbourne's team gathered around her. When she took the mask, a clock's ticking can be heard. She turned it around and suddenly it exploded. The Blackbourne's team was perished. 12 year old Sang jolted awake from her nightmare like usual. She remember everything from her previous life. The difference is that she is loved and doted by her parents in this new life. She is now the only daughter of Duke Sorenson. 1 month from now the selection for the crown prince's fiancee will be held and she is the strongest candidate. Will she be able to get her happy ever after? Should she forgets her boys? Nine boys saved Sang from her abusive home. Nine boys loved her, and she loved them. But nine boys wouldn't let her learn to stand on her own two feet. Nine boys had her on a pedestal and was keeping her chaste and innocent until they decided it was just puppy love and they wanted a mature relationship. They'd grown apart or so they thought. Sang leaves on her own to find her own way and stand on her own two feet. She runs into the Toma team who treat her like a woman, and the Blackbourne team is realizing their mistake.
