Mumbo threw his third egg at the target block above Grian's door. The white shell exploded into a chicken as he finally hit the bullseye. Noteblocks chimed, out of time with each other. Footsteps pounded on the stairs within the house, quickly followed by someone running into the door at full speed. The wooden door swung open inwards, revealing the smaller, red-sweatered hermit. "Hey Mumbo," he greeted. "What seems to be the trouble?" "It's TFC's death, Grian," Mumbo responded. "I don't think it was natural." -=-=-=-=- Medieval City AU This IS a murder mystery, so there will be blood, gore, and angst. I will mix a bit of romance in, too, although that will lead to more angst. Since it's a murder mystery, there will also be a lot of death and a fight or two. Or maybe three. Grian was surrounded by the hermits, swords pointed. The boy frowned at the man in front of him, "I didn't kill him." His tone was clearly annoyed. "shut it watcher, we know your tricks." their youngest hermit who joined the server had left their server after staying a week. He was overpowered by his fellow hermits who had accused him of murder. "grian! that's grian!" the hermits who fled to find their youngest soon faced a replica of the shopping district. it was clearly deserted, yet somehow full of life. the missing hermit who they saw on a random window sill lay his head on a table, in each seat was an armour stand with different positions and different heads. this was his life for over 3 years. There are no respawn mechanisms. - The backstories for each character are based around events that happened in Season 6, which might not be relevant in seasons to come. - The total word count for this story is 49,001. It was originally published on October 16, 2019. - I try to mention each Hermit at least once, but I might have missed some. DISCLAIMER: This book does hint at a bit of shipping. I write ships based on the Hermits' Minecraft personas and not their actual IRL selves. None of this content is meant to offend anyone, it's purely a writing hobby.
