Mine

*Aleck I lay there on the floor and try to look around, but my vision's blurred. I listen to Emerald as she scolds Ashley, her full temper coming out on her, "How dare you touch my man you mortal! He's mine, do you here me?! You have no idea how much pain I'm capable of inflicting on you, that I'm going to inflict on you unless you stay away from him!" I hear a whoosh as Ashley's body goes flying through the air. I still can't see anything. I blink and try to clear my vision. I see her figure hit the wall and slide to the floor in a heap. She gets on all fours and I see blood dripping from somewhere on her head, "No!" I scream. My vision becomes clearer, "Stay the hell away from her!" I stand and look at the scene as it all comes into view and I freeze. I see that the figure the hit the wall was not Ashley...but it was Emerald. I look over at where Ashley now stands. She turns her head to look at me. Where her iris was a beautiful dark chocolate brown is now a breathtaking marble white, "Aleck." She says quietly. I feel my body, against my will, being pulled down to one knee and I bow to her, hanging my head down as I stare at the floor, not feeling worthy to look into her eyes, I don't know why, "Ashley....I don't understand..." I mumble. "Stand." She commands quietly and I instantly do as she says. She walks over to me as her fangs retract, though her eyes stay the same and lock onto mine. She brings her hand up slowly and places it over the wound on my forehead where I had hit the corner of the dresser. I wince at the slight pinch of pain, but then the pains gone. When she drops her hand back to her side, I touch my forehead to find no wound, "Aleck, I'm not who you think I am." She says. "What are you?" I ask, knowing she's much more than even a vampire.
