Amina Drew is the Ceo of the hottest magazine in the city of Detroit. Beauty and Success goes  hand and hand for the twenty-nine-year-old woman.  Lipstick Talk Magazine was her baby and after five years in the game, one mistake could take away everything she's worked hard for.  Amina was always the center of attention whenever she entered a room, and that caught the eye of many people.  

   Alex Mayfield was one of those captured by Amina and her beauty. Alex was handsome, single and secretly the man you wouldn't want your daughter to date.  Games and manipulation were all too familiar for the handsome Real Estate Agent.  He liked to play with fire, and no one ever told him that playing with fire could get you hurt. Making moves with some of the most ruthless criminals in Detroit wasn't in his best interest but only the strong survived in this city.  Alex would not only change his life, but he would also change Amina's and not for the best.

   Phoenix Reid is a tough and fierce criminal lawyer and also, Amina's best friend.  When Phoneix learns of Amina's whirlwind love she's extremely happy for her. Love doesn't come easy to successful black women, and when Phoenix learns she knows more about Alex then Amina wants to know, their friendship would be put to the test and lines will be drawn.
