After the death of his sister, James's life became hell. His parents started beating him up and he was forced to indore it.

 Isolation, submission, and a desperate attempt to please others were just some of the things he tried to better his current lifestyle, but none worked. In a last attempt to free himself he did something that he knows he could get killed for if he got caught. But as always, things never went as planned. An unimaginable event happened which caused him to lose his life.

Waking in a world of magic and swords, he's been placed in a rather odd situation. Years after his encounter with the god who blessed him with a second life by mistake, his circumstances changed dramatically causing his future plans and second chance to go down the drain. 

But being surrounded by a new found family he decides to not be the victim of fate, but let fate be the victim.

How will they react to the boy that's became a man who he is today ? How will they get over the guilt that eating them alive for they have done to their son's traumatic past? And neglecting him. He looked up at the huge creatures that was staring down at him like if they were staring at their prey, maybe he was really their prey. He shook as he let the crystal sword fall down. " It's... Over..." He admitted it then. Although they tried desperately to fight those giant creatures that suddenly attacked them while holding on the smallest ray of hope, they couldn't defeat them. " It's over... Everyone is already dead... Everything is destroyed... We lost..." He kneeled down and accepted his fate. " If we just knew about this earlier..." And he was burned to ash by the flames of the huge lizards... ********** A dark and horrible future was await of them. Through the darkest moment of his dream, he heard a voice calling for help. He just knew he had to trust that voice, he had to. A new adventure starts as a new kingdom declares its existence. Is it a friend or a new foe? Astren City, and all surrounding area, have the highest crime rate in the northern part of the country. Dozens of crime families constantly trying to take the throne, as well as corruption lurking around every corner, do not aid in that fact at all. Salem Heart's father, Jack Heart, happens to be the Astren City Chief of Police, a title which holds a lot of weight and a rank that claims even more power. He's well respected, and amazing at his job. That said, greatness is expected of Salem as well. Of course that isn't a problem, Salem will always be loyal to the law. He was raised by it, and upholding it is his future career aspiration. He thinks he has his life figured out. The fact that his ex-boyfriend comes from a notorious crime family, and has been arrested several times by Jack's own department, doesn't matter. Salem's passed that, he's over Atlas Marino and he always will be. He will ignore that scratch in his record, and cover it up with his success. Salem is offered a job to help with an investigation that could benefit his future career astronomically. He thinks it's a win-win situation, he gets the recognition he desires, and the streets will be that much safer. It's all black and white to him, easy to understand. He likes the order, and he craves the accomplishment of defeating bad with good. It's all black and white. Until he gets caught in the grey. Not mature for the younger audiences. -------------------------------- I don't like explaining my books because when I do I tend to write everything that happens, so I am just going to say that I come up with these horribly dark ideas and put them into books, of course these books may be sad, and maybe even a bit sadistic, and in my mind they are badass, but when I write them down I don't feel as if I can show what I am truly imagining. I feel as if they suck, but my best friend tells me that they are amazing and that I better publish them when I finish so I did. Obviously. So eh. Yes, I know I happen to say this in each of my story descriptions but I truly do end up ruining the story if I write about it. There is foul language, sexual content, stupidity, and most likely some grammar errors, so I'm just forewarning anyone that reads it. Alex is the schools rich bad boy. He doesn't care for going to school or much of what anybody thinks, and he can get whatever he wants with looks or money. No one has ever questioned who he sleeps with, no one cared because, well, he's him. Alex doesn't notice Hunter because he doesn't like to attend school, Hunter doesn't notice Alex, they don't know the other exist. What happens when Hunter accidentally bumps into Alex at his job? Will Alex treat him the same as everyone like he expects or will he try to, in his own way, help?

The lights flicked on and I squinted to see a tall and broad figuring standing at my cell door, unlocking it, and walking in. The aura this man was giving out was making it hard not to tremble. I quickly stood up and bowed. "What is your name" he bellowed kinda muffled. I panicked and quickly remembered that the guards had not checked me before putting me in here. I pulled out my speech device and began typing...I looked up for a split second just to see a fist plummeting towards me and everything became fuzzy. I could hear screams but could not make out what was being said.
