When Sixteen-year-old Benton from the middle of nowhere USA falls in love for the first time he realizes he would give everything to be with mysterious new kid Charlie from only God knows where. Charlie is a star athlete who is well liked by the members of the church they both go to. He is confident, fearless, and charming. Benton feels unnoticed like he is watching someone else's life moving like a movie before him. Charlie represents the unholy alchemy of how a young man can be loved as himself while maintaining the sort of sexual appetite his town is so opposed to.

In an all boys boarding school surrounded by football players 18 year olds Alex, Sam, Jason and Parker have two years left in school.
