Fire, water, wind, and earth-those are the four elements that Keira Ridger was familiar with. A small percentage of the population have the ability to bend them to their will, and they have made themselves the upper class of Fallhaven. For years, Keira has hoped to be one of the lucky few so that she and her brother Lymm can escape their impoverished life in Oakmont. But there are things happening in the shadows that Keira is unaware of-literally. When she discovers her own ability to manipulate shadows, Keira finds herself caught up in an unfamiliar war. Along the way, Keira meets Flitt. Like her, he is an orphan. Like her, he has the ability to manipulate shadows. Unlike her, he is confident in himself. But it doesn't take long to find out that that is little more than a mask. As her feelings for him grow, she must ask herself two questions: who is Flitt really, and does he share her feelings? Can Keira figure out who she can trust before she makes a wrong move? Can she navigate the truths and lies to find the among the Shadows?

The first part from The Elements series. Meet Shadow Renoir. She's in her last year in high school and she's one of those kid you see in the hallway, but you never talked to them and you know nothing about except the fact that she can beat the crap out of you. That's the only thing the whole school knows about her after she decided that she had enough of their bulling and beat the school's football star. Now, she's what you call the lone wolf and she wants nothing more than to finish high school without any major problems or drama, but things take a major turn after a school trip during the Biology class. What happens when you go from being the awkward lonely kid to being part of another dimension and having to stop an ancient war? Will you fight for what you believe in or are going to get stuck in the drama and the expectations everyone has? {WARNING}: This book contains strong language along with dark themes and violent scenes.
