There's a legend in my town that says, once you see the demon eyes they will follow you until you die. I don't know where the legend came from all I know is that it has been a part of our town since the beginning, passed down over generations. My grandfather told me the story about the demon eyes when I was little; he told me that a creature lurks in the forest surrounding our town, but that sometimes they venture out of the trees, and when someone sees their red, glowing eyes, they will see them wherever they go until they go crazy and die. 
This story has been apart of my town from the beginning, warding people from getting too close to the forest or from going out after dark, but as I got older I realized that it was mainly used to scare little kids into behaving, never believing just how much truth there was to the story until it was too late.All Rights Reserved

As the trees and its land slowly burn down by he deadly purple acid, a man that was watching from afar shivered at this sight. This has been going on for ages, and the creature hasn't been stopped. The man looked towards his companion, or was he, his companion? His friend has been acting a bit strange, acting anything but not himself. The man took a deep breath and sighed. "You know me, buddy, I wouldn't let It get to me." On the next day, the man's friend was gone. "This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. The mist in the air begins to get thicker as I continue this race. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.

Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?

Every day without fail, I take a hour walk in the forest behind my home after school. This time something happened that I didn't even expect in these woods. At first I heard a low growl and thought it was just a dog and an owner. Then it got louder, sounding like it was getting closer. My head jerked in a direction where a twig snapped, causing my heart to start beating faster then normal. It was a bit dark in the forest, considering it was winter. Then that's when I saw it, the red eyes coming from the bushes. My feet were frozen to the spot, I wanted to run but my feet didn't want to move. I felt a hand go on my shoulder, turning my head, I saw a man, probably in his early twenties. ''Run!'' He whispered but loud enough for it to be a shout. I looked at the eyes and a hand grabbed mine, pulling me off in a different direction. This isn't the best way to meet someone but what happens when they see more of each other? Will they enjoy each other's company? Will he be able to tell her the truth? This is my first werewolf story and I know that it won't be to everyone standards but please enjoy. Copyright. It's dangerous to leave fire going while leaving camp. But some people just don't care, why come camp out in the woods in the first place? Whatever the answer is, I hope you're happy. A mystical forest is said to hold spirits of the ancient animals that once lived there, many creatures roam the forest. Some humans wish to see said beings, though they never are able to. Said for one family who decided to try and ended up with nothing, they didn't think about putting out their campfire. A young fox happened to roam where they had just left, seeing the red and orange flames dance in the blackened wood. It got closer and closer, not knowing the dangers. A simple pop and the poor baby fox's fur was set to flames, or ran frantically to get them to go away, but its efforts weren't enough, it simply burned to death, turning into ashes. It's soup now roams the forest, its body made entirely of flames, see as its journey takes him much farther than anticipated. What will come of this young fox? Will it accept its knew life or become impure like the Unrien, darkened souls that leak dangers during the night.

She said that there were monsters Lurking deep in the shadows that watched and waited for children to enter so they could gobble them up. I knew that she said it to scare me out of the woods. Only problem is that it didn't work. The deep dark Forrest called to me like no other. It was like that is where I belonged not out on the streets playing kick ball like all the other kids. I was supposed to be running through the trees feeling the wind rush past me. This is the story of how I discovered that the monsters lurking in the Forrest were real.
