"ASHTON" I screamed my voice cracking. I ran after his hospital bed until a nurse stopped me. I pulled at the tips of my hair trying to process what had just happened. My legs gave out as the double wide hospital doors leading up to the Operating Rooms closed. I watched the love of my life fade away as my world crumbled to the ground around me.

When I face him again, Ashton is smiling. He leans back slowly in his seat, resting his folded hands on his stomach. "This is gonna be fun." I narrow my eyes at him. "What's gonna be fun?" Life is panning out exactly how I expected it to. I made it to high school. I'm a teenager. I don't have any of the partying and spring break memories I'd hoped for, but it's not bad.
