Perhaps the only thing Billy Hargrove needed was someone to listen to him. To love him. Maybe he didn't want to be so angry. He didn't want to be like his father.

Emma was the one who made him realize that.

She was what he wanted to be. Friends with people because they genuinely liked him, not based on his looks or because he could scare them into being his friend.

He wanted everything she had. Amazing, caring friends, a loving family, a father who didn't hit him every time his step-sister did something wrong.

But Emma's life wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. He didn't know that she cried every night over her closest friend Barb's death. Or that she had nightmares every time she closed her eyes. Or that she felt like she was going absolutely out of her mind because everything keeps piling up on her shoulders.

However, somehow, they are about to get a taste of each other's worlds. Especially when her brother somehow becomes the enemy of the one and only Billy Hargrove.
