Welcome to Eva's house, where no one leaves quite the same as they arrived...if they leave at all.
Fifth-graders Maxwell Smith and Eva Byrdlime, he a charming athlete and she a bookish misfit, neither have nor want anything to do with one another...that is, until Max's mother pressures him to pay Eva's house a visit and try to befriend her. But amongst the maddness of the house--from the Ferris wheel in the backyard to the obnoxious talking spider to the looming threat of Eva's over-controlling mother who strictly forbids "outsiders"--Maxwell not only grows closer to Eva, but finds himself in a kinship he's never had with anyone. But Eva's house finds a way of drawing dark things out of all who enter it, and a voice in Maxwell's mind telling him to stay is becoming more and more impossible to distinguish from his own thoughts...
Years later, an older Maxwell Smith writes to a young author, AC Lenore, and recounts to her the day that changed his life forever. His flippant demeanor and jarring method of storytelling make it difficult to tell if he's telling the truth or just saying whatever he believes will keep Lenore reading. Did he ever truly make it out of Eva's house, or is he just trying to drag Lenore in with him?
A modern take on the myth of Persephone, Welcome to Eva's House also draws inspiration from Gothic and Romantic classics, such as Frankenstein and Wuthering Heights. It won a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2019.

The Beautiful Trapped Ghost (BWWM)
Liam left everything that he knew behind, his house, the neighborhood he lived in, and the city that he knew. Why? Because he needed a change. He needed a fresh start; he couldn't handle the gossips anymore, the neighbors whispering behind his back, the failed relationship that ended with a heartache for him and not his ex. He needed to be in a new area where no one knew what happened; no one knew the suffering he went through. So what does Liam do? He packs his things, sells his house, old furniture, and buys a new home in an area he's never even been in or heard of. Everything should go perfectly, right? This fresh start. Not quite, Liam has an unwanted guest in his new house, and this guest doesn't want to leave; she seems to be telling him that it's her house and not his. She's mistaken; this house was Liams. After all, he's purchased it for an excellent price and has moved all his new things in there. She's the one that needs to go, not him. So why is it that Liam is unable to kick her out of his home? Why is it that she won't leave?! or is it that she can't go. Strange things start to occur in Liam's new home, something that shouldn't be happening, spooky things, things that would happen in horror movies, and Liam doesn't know what to do. He starts to panic; he's the only one panicking; the unwanted guest, on the other hand, just stares at him with a smile as she throws her head back, letting out a chilling laugh. "We'll see who ends up leaving, because I am not going anywhere." She says.Complete

Unnatural Circumstances
Immerse yourself in the captivating and darkly humorous world inside the compelling novel Unnatural Circumstances. Embark on the journey of three unconventional individuals who willingly set out on an adventure only to become entangled in a disturbing and surreal series of supernatural events. In the fall of 1996, Soleil Barlowe, a sarcastic yet resourceful witch, Benji Horowitz, a kind-hearted half-demon with a passion for horror literature, and Casper De La Cruz, an artistic shapeshifter, committed themselves to their studies at their magical university in Hollingsworth Institute. Sadly, after much contemplation, the trio dropped out during the fall semester. Their decision is understandable. The scholarships barely pay off their student loans, their families despise them, and their rent is so high that the three often resort to unconventional methods to make ends meet. When Soleil receives an unexpected invitation to return to her childhood home in Louisiana, she and the boys are pulled into a world where Southern magic and realism intertwine. Ancient creatures ascend from mythical textbooks. Powerful witches frolic in their gated communities. Festivities linger in the air as the townsfolk are preparing for Halloween. However, as the gang journeys to the heart of New Orleans, they are pursued by supernatural entities at every turn. Vowing to stop the chaos themselves, Soleil, Benji, and Casper must delve deeper into Louisiana's magical yet sinister underbelly. Their quest for the truth tests their morals, leading to a chilling revelation regarding the demise of a once-popular amusement park. This book contains sexual assault, death, corruption, swearing, morality, and homophobia. If you are dealing with these topics, please talk to an adult or someone you trust.Complete
I Accidentally Summoned a Demon
"I know you're a virgin but have you never been touched?" He asked, sliding his other hand down onto her leg. "What makes you say that?" Kat breathed, bracing her hands on the counter. "You react like someone who's never felt another's touch," Nex whispered, slipping his thumb under the band of her shorts. "So, have you not?" Kat opened her mouth to speak but stopped when his hand slid up from her leg, gliding up her stomach and stopping just below her breast. "Not even here?" He asked, following the curve of her breast with one finger, not touching, staying just below as he dragged it back and forth. "What about here?" He asked, sliding his hand down from her ribs to the bottom of her shorts then around to her butt, fingers nearly grazing it as he inched them up, under her pajamas. "I can say with certainty, never here," he said, lowering his other hand under the waistband of her shorts, touching the top of her underwear. "No, you've definitely never felt that before. I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band.
