Dean can't remember ever having his picture taken, let alone who else was in it. He doesn't even understand why he's never seen a picture of himself, but he tries to not to question it. He just follows the simple rules: never get your picture taken under any circumstances, and don't ask questions about it. It's hard to follow rules when they've already been broken.

As his mother takes the answers to her grave, the only thing he didn't understand about her, Dean is left to look through his childhood home. He doesn't expect to find answers in the attic that he thought was empty, or see anything, but he does. He finally understands why the rules exist, and why they're broken. Why they would never work.

He finds out why he doesn't remember the last time he had his picture taken. Let alone who else was in it.

*Some of the content in this short story contains some scenes of horror and violence, but nothing too mature.*
