Her and her gelding Magic go all over the Midwest in search of a good rodeo and hoping to go to the Olympics someday. But everybody wonders why nobody but her sister Maysa comes to her barrel races. Nobody can figure it out. And McKenna isn't going to let anybody. Magic has been her best friend aside from her sister and Abby and Ellie. Magic is the only person she can really trust. Until one special boy comes along. Alec hall. The only problem is she can't stand him. Can they work out their differences?
