"You don't belong here, so take your ugly fat ass back to where you came from!" Malissa barks and takes my hair in her hands and sakes me around. I flail around like a rag doll until she shoves my head to the side and laughs at me with her friends snickering behind her.
When they leave the only thing I do is stay sitting on the ground in embarrassment and cry with my head in my hands.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
