Grace Collins is many things: Sweet, caring, always thinking about others. But, she is also headstrong, tough, and a badass. She lives a normal middle class life working as a nurse at New York General Hospital. She has the most normal life anyone could have. Well...at least she did.

Alessio Romano. He is 26 years old and leader of the Sicilian Mafia. He is the complete opposite of Grace; he is rude, arrogant, selfish. He never says please or thank you, he never apologizes, he expects everything to be done to his liking, and above all he kills with no remorse.

"Or what? What will you do, Mr. Romano? Just because I work with you doesn't mean you can control my whole life," I state. "I can make my own decisions."

"What if I won't let you?" He replies taking a step closer to me. "What if I said that I didn't want you to go out with other men? Hmm?" He raises his eyebrow, and I back up to where my back is touching a wall. "What if you were only mine?"

I stare up into his deep, cold blue eyes. I wouldn't break, I wouldn't be swayed by this arrogant asshole, I wouldn't be taken down again. "Well," I finally say, "then I would tell you..." I stand on my tippy toes and reach his ear, "to go to hell." I stand back down onto my feet as I walk out his door with my head held high.
