After accidentally killing his half-brother in the Tournament of Moonlight, Lu Silver is kicked out of the Knights of Light and is forced to transition from living a wealthy lifestyle to living in the streets. While in an alley, Lu is approached by a mysterious man with a sword who offers Lu a place to stay in his home. While living with the mysterious man, Lu is taught different samurai fighting methods by the mysterious man. Although this fighting style is something Lu has never experienced before, he soon begins to crave more and more training from the mysterious man. When asked what his motive for training was, Lu's response was: to kill Jericho Silver, the one responsible for his banishment from the Knights of Light, who also happens to be his own father.
