Colette Ambers was living the life that everyone expected of her. She was a girl with ambition, a law student, and the perfect daughter. Now a law school drop-out who has shattered her parents' plans and aspirations for her, Colette is only left with ambition and hers in particular requires three things: a pencil, a notebook, and a plane ticket to Italy.
Colette is now on her own in the small town of Como that she spent seven years growing up in. While she documents her new life in one of the hidden gems of the world, it's not just the memories that resurface. Colette meets the friends she said goodbye to years ago, an old blind man who has quite the story to tell, and Elio, the charming little boy she left behind. Only he's not so little anymore.
