Blaze is a normal 16 year old boy. He has a mom, a dad, a baby brother, and an older sister. Blaze's parent's take a two week trip right before school is out, and leave Cierra, Blaze's older sister in charge. After being gone months, Cierra becomes an unfit guardian. She spends all her time drinking, doing drugs, or sleeping around. Blaze can't handle it anymore, and runs to the only place he can think of- his therapist's house.
Blaze and his baby brother, Danger, are warmly welcome in the house over the summer.
School starts up again, and Cierra doesn't remember anything...including her family. But once she sees Blaze at school again, she remembers the call- their parent's are dead. Cierra wants Blaze and Danger back in her life, but Blaze refuses. Being eighteen though, she can legally claim custody of Danger. If she gets him, can she raise him properly?

The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him.
