Halle Lucas. Young, naïve, reckless, and as of three months ago — Dead.

After sneaking out for yet another party, Halle's life comes to a sudden halt when rushing home to beat her curfew ends in her lying lifeless on the asphalt after a tragic hit-and-run.  Halle, after randomly waking up trapped in the confines of her own grave, and after being forced to dig her own way out, seeks refuge at the house of her best friend, Jackson, who accidentally stabs her. Miraculously, the wound heals right before their very eyes, and Halle soon discovers she can no longer die. 

Running from those who'd want to exploit her new talent, she and Jackson stumble across an underground city populated with kids who possess special abilities just like her own, only not all The Underground's children are what they seem, and the dangerous people searching for them may not be either.
