"For once in my life- just once, I would like for someone to choose me." "But Lavender, I choose you." *** Lavender May Hemly spends her time alone. Her friends only call her when they have no one else, her older sister lives with her boyfriend and makes no effort to keep in touch with her, her father is always busy working, and her mother passed away in a tragic car accident when she was only two years old. Lavender is no one's priority. However, to keep herself occupied, she finds entertainment in writing and reading- the only two things that allow her to escape the reality that is her boring life. The summer before Lavender's freshman year of college, her black and white life becomes much more colorful. Her father reveals to her that he must spend the entire summer in Italy on business. Lavender is disappointed to find out that she will not be joining him, but instead be spending her summer at Camp Stride- a rich kid "camp" where instead of tents and log cabins there are intricate buildings that resemble a college campus right on the lake. It really shouldn't be called a camp. CS is practically a pre-college program where privileged teenagers spend their time drinking, partying, and doing whatever the hell they want while their parents are away making millions. Lavender is nothing like the people at Camp Stride, and she wants nothing to do with any of them. Or at least that's what she thought until he came into her life and complicated everything she thought she knew about herself. *** *Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday*
