Ten year old Jezebel Collins is your stereotypical rich, spoiled brat. Five days before Christmas, her house (or should I say mansion) is burned to the ground with her parents inside. With no will having been recovered, Jezebel is sent to an orphanage with nothing but her teddy bear.
