Summertime should be the time where Camila Cabello is laying out on the beach with her best friends, working on their tans while checking out boys through their sunglasses. Summertime should be the time for driving with the windows down, singing loudly, and letting the wind make her long dark hair tangle. Summertime should be the time when she goes out and dances the night away, letting her inhibitions free and let the sweat drip down her body.

Instead Camila is stuck working at a 24 Hour diner right in the middle of all the things she should be doing this summer.

After work, in the early hours of the morning, Camila is almost attacked - almost meaning she is saved.

The name of her hero is Shawn Mendes - the boy she often sees either outside or inside the diner. She doesn't understand why he's always there because she thinks it's the least exciting place to be.

She gets her summertime wish in the form of sweat racing down her skin. It happens every time she gets close to Shawn.

Camila is signed on as the newest member of a rock band, but must also act as the lead singer's girlfriend. She doesn't mind, until she starts to truly fall for the mute wallflower of a drummer, with his tragic and mysterious past. -- [word count: 70,000]
