Before I wrote the script, I wrote a short story slightly different. Chris and Cory still meet online, and Cory still gets attacked at school. They meet their biological father who tells them they are special. They will find out that he was more right than they expected. After Chris' mom adopts Cory and they moved back to their home in the south, neighbors move in across the street. A man around Susan (their mom's age) and a son a few years older than the twins. Long ago somewhere far away there was a young couple living in Pine Ridge South Dakota. They had a child who was going to be in poor health conditions. They did not want the baby to grow up this way, So with broken hearts they did the only good thing for there child, they put him up for adoption. The child grew up in the system and when he was a young boy, a family from South Dakota adopted him and they started a new family of their own.

You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."
