Talion held back the darkness.
Talion held back Sauron.
Or did he?
While Seregost is destroyed, and the Nazgul were banished from Minas Morgul, what of the Northeast?
The Witch-King, ordered by Sauron, attempts another angle. Succeed where The Pale Orc and his forces could not. Take Erebor. Take Angmar. Conquer Gondor.
With Helm Hammerhand and Suladan, The Lord of the Nazgul begins his crusade against the forces of Gondorian Resistance. With the disappearance of Sergeant Baranor, they are in a state of disarray. But Idril, shield maiden of Minas Ithil, has boosted morale among the troops. No Uruk will halt them, nor their cause.
And their cause is to journey across Middle-Earth and inform the Lord of Dale, Bard the Dragonslayer, of the attack, hopefully in time to properly defend the town of Dale.
This is still in draft form, I just want to see if anybody likes the concept.
