But never live in the past. The present is pleasant, like a gift full of surprises to you, and you better open it up before someone else snatches it away from you." °•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°• He was her childhood crush. She liked him very much; in fact, she thought she was in love. But boy was she wrong! Even though he knew how much she fancied him all along, he only kept bullying her time and again. So now, she hates him with every ounce of her blood. But the twist is, he's head over heals for her now. Ruby Shaw is someone who hates her home town and would rather stay somewhere else than her old house. But she has to come back home after almost five years; back to the place which contributed only bad memories for her. When she runs into him again after so many years, would she be able to suppress her long lost feelings and force them to remain dormant? Would she let him conquer her even though she remains so adamant to stay UNCONQUERED? •°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•° "We both were crying. He was crying because he knew he was fucked up. I was crying because he was the one who fucked me up." *************** [Previously known as "I'm Over You"] WARNING: Contains usage of strong language and triggering content. Read at your own risk.

Formerly called 'Withered' Highest Ranking as of 5/18/2018: #5 in Matureaudience; 12/7/2018: #3 in ied I gulped as his hand cupped my jaw, "Tell me River. Are you scared of me?" He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?

[01/07/2021] - [13/04/2023] "You can't keep going around like a fucking maniac and treating me like shit. That isn't how relationships work," Sophia's voice was havoc as she verbalized her emotions. "That isn't how we work..." Tired, vulnerable and agitated at not only him, but herself. How could she let herself get this far, in such little time? He looked down, ashamed, not wanting to respond. His heart felt like it was beating faster than it should've. "I forgot how it felt to love you." As soon as those words were uttered from Sophia's lips, his world broke apart. Gone, in just a matter of seconds. - - - When Sophia Adam moves to a new town, she wishes nothing more than a boring, new life, to separate herself from her past. Moving meant completing university and getting a clerkship with a judge. Moving meant making refreshing new friends, and meeting a mysterious guy that seems hell-bent on getting to know her. To Sophia, moving to a new town was everything she imagined and more. She just didn't expect her past to follow.
