1897, Civilization manifests across the west. Cattle towns become ghost towns, people strike rich in oil fields, Cities are built in haste, people sit down and leave behind their rural life. In the midst of this industrial revolution, is a simple girl. Amber Hurst. She sticks to tradition and prefers a more "free" life. She avoids the urban cities and tries to become a rancher. Growing up poor, her struggle for money is an endearing and lively story.
