When Lily Kline takes possession of a Gothic estate with Ian Hawke, her co-heir and a stranger, she soon realizes there is more than meets the eye within the many corridors of the sequestered mansion. Ian is aloof and even hostile at times, and though he warns about rabid wolves in the forest, as though trying to frighten her away, she can't help being drawn to him. As events grow more bizarre, she questions her safety and Ian's identity. Why did her late grandfather see fit to make them co-heirs? Furthermore, what lurks in the attic, that hidden room everyone takes pains for her to avoid?

In a fog-choked city haunted by the dead, Nova Quinn leads a small, rogue ghost-hunting crew: Theo, her silent, tech-savvy best friend, and Jesse, a sharp-tongued outcast rejected by official agencies. When three hunters vanish inside the infamous Windfall Manor, Nova's team is called to investigate. But the manor isn't just haunted, it's alive. The spirits are organized, violent, and tied to a dark pact made by the Windfall family centuries ago. As Nova starts seeing visions of a girl named Eleanor and memories she can't explain, she realizes the truth: she's not just here to stop the curse. She was part of it. To save the city, Nova must confront her forgotten past, face the family that sacrificed her, and choose whether to destroy the artifact fueling the curse, or risk everything trying to contain it.
