500 years ago, a meteor struck the earth, cracking it in half, separating families and bringing devastation. Many people have tried to jump the rapidly growing gap in pure desperation to reach the other side, but all attempts have failed. Now, in the Present Future era, a 16-year-old boy named Clarence Pertrand, who used to live a normal life on one half of the planet, meets a 15-year-old girl who lives on the other half, who goes by the name of Lola Hanceworth. Divided by the hopeless gaping hole between them, they struggle to find a way to stay together. Will they be able to defy the ever growing space between them?
