These individuals are chosen off a basis of their socioeconomic status, academic performance, and their behavior among superiors and authority... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lyra Cohen and the rest of the world were put under the illusion that the government would kill the selected people and simply dispose of their bodies after...but all of that was a lie. A lie that covers the terrible, messed up truth. Lyra Cohen, a once regular Sophomore in high school, turns out to be the key to solving this messed up world she lives in. As she goes through the deadly journey of life, making friends, enemies, and learning more about herself and the world around her, she fights with every ounce of her determination to end this and the people who do it, once and for all.
