Jules Choi is a high school student with the dream of becoming the best ballet dancer in America. He has straight A's and is first in his class at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. Though, one day after walking home from Ballet practice, he witnesses another kid from school drug dealing and gets an amazingly awful idea. Ace Ortega is also a high school student but with the dream of becoming, well, not homeless. This stoner has been failing senior year and has no clue how to turn it around. But, when a cute Korean catches him dealing cocaine to another poor soul, he has to face the consequences and follow his rules. Jules forces Ace to be his assistant in exchange for not telling the police about Ace's dealing. Everything goes Jules way the first few weeks with having Ace do things for him 24/7, but things start to change when a tough someone starts to become angry when Jules turns arrogant, and Ace had no choice but to snap, showing his true colors to Jules. As time flies, the more they hung out with each other, the more Ace showed his vulnerable self to Jules. The same goes with Jules, having the stereotypical Asian parents isn't that easy when they want him to become the country's best dancer, to surpass his cousin who holds the title they desire. Both live in two different worlds with different problems and desires, but both of them together creates their serendipity.
