Shifting Silhouettes is a story of unlikely collisions, growing courage, and the beauty of acceptance. Perhaps the question isn't whether introverts can become extroverted, but whether they can learn to embrace their truest selves while letting others in. Two Introverted boys bump into one another on the streets of Chicago. Things may be awkward for them at first, but with the help of time and effort, they both seem to grasp the importance of society, friendships, and love.

Lorelai Daisy Slater was a quiet girl. She worked hard for what she had, put a lot of effort into her studies, and was ready for the real world. She worked hard to transfer from a little community college to Briar U. She thought it was gonna be an easy two years, work at Malones, get a scholarship, and get a stable job once she graduates, but the Briar U boys seem to be interested in her. Rory had thought she left it all behind, but when Dean DiLaurentis recognizes her, she knows it's gonna be hard to avoid him. She sneaks around him at Malones, the Hockey rink, when she sneaks in to skate, and even on campus. But how long until the boys succeed and get Rory to finally talk to them?
