After Audrey Lizbeth McKendry comes home to find her brutally murdered mother laying on the floor, the only parent she had, if one could call her a parent, her entire world is turned upside down. In the meantime she will bond with Trigger, a giant buckskin stallion who is trailered in for rehab shortly after she arrives at the stables. Throw in Avery, the brooding ranch owner's son with a burden of his own and a happy heart underneath trying to break through, and you have your classic boy girl horse trio. Together, they must fight the impossible and find a way to survive both a ruthless killer and a slaughter date.
