This is the story of a Nepalese singer who comes to the Black Forest, meets very interesting people and immerses himself into the traditional culture of his new heimat Baden-Württemberg. He joins a men's choir and sings with them for over a decade and in the process gets to know them and their lives, and what they sing about. After the singing is over the men go to a tavern and sing jolly songs about the pretty Black Forest maidens, the longing for the Heimat when one is away, about love and also sometimes about the war, deprivation, hunger and how they overcame all those sad things and survived.
