Lady Mary is a young, charming, and beautiful Victorian woman standing at the door to her future as she faces marriage. When she takes off her mask in her final address to the living, her family is shocked to find they barely knew her at all.

What drove Lady Mary to take her own life when she was facing the greatest happiness known to womanhood? More importantly, why?
