In a world where superpowers are real, they're a lot less cool than you would've thought. Sure, you're gonna be born with one, but is it really worth it if it's the power of opening an automatic door a second sooner?

With dumb powers as the norm, superpowers don't really have that much of an influence on the lives of anyone but the ones with them. That is, until the fall of 2167. A boy had been born with dangerous superpowers decades prior, and with the almost unknown but looming threat of world domination, barely anyone is up to the task. Including Marianne Price, a girl with arguably the most useless of useless superpowers - falling at double speed - and her ragtag group of friends.

However, the five teens are going on a mission to save the world anyways.

When a secret government organization is way out of their depth, they make the questionable decision to send incompetent students on one of the most important missions in the history of the world. Will Marianne be able to rise to the challenge? Or will she fall - and twice as fast?
