A long time ago, Mikael's Father arranged Mikael to marry a young woman named Esther, who is secretly a witch but is the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Even though Mikael married Esther, he never loved her because his heart belonged to another young woman named Toril, who is the only daughter of the Viking Village Chief. Despite being the only child and daughter of the Viking Village Chief, Toril has been training to be the next Chief since she was able to learn how to walk. As Toril got older, she has been known to be the most beautiful woman in the Village as well as a fierce warrior. Toril befriended Mikael when they started going to battles to fight for their people, and that friendship turned into love, but sadly she kept her feelings to herself when she heard that Mikael was getting married to Esther. When Mikael became a father to a little girl named Freya Mikaelson, Toril was the one that inspired the name since she told Mikael that if she ever had a daughter, she would call her Freya after her favorite Norse goddess of fertility. Once Toril became the next Viking Village Cheif, she stopped going to battles since she has to watch over the people of her tribe in case of enemies trying to terrorize the village. Mikael left his homeland to fight for his people, not knowing that Esther decided to give Freya away to her sister, Dahlia as an exchange to becoming a Mother. Toril witnessed Freya getting taken, and she hunted Esther's sister down killing the female witch in the process, and she took Freya into her wing while keeping Freya a secret from Esther when Freya explained why her Aunt took her away. I do not own the characters in this story except for Toril.
