Riley is a teenager, 14 years of age, when the human race has to leave the earth and move to Mars. He doesn't want to do this, as though Earth is in a state of disrepair, it's all he has ever known. 
He was chosen from a group of people who were liable to go. He was the only one in his family with all the traits to be chosen, so he must go alone.

It is evident that a war has started but, they can not listen to what so-called leaders of the world have told them. they find out they have to survive on their own, where it seems like it's every man for themselves. It is now a new world, an advanced sublunary. This is inception.
