Cove King is the last person anyone expected someone would write a book about. Until the Thunderbird Junior Dance. A tragic accident at the dance caused his friend to go into a coma. The school believes it was his fault. Well, maybe it was. Beth, a typical mean girl, isn't helping his case though. With every word she utters, Cove's grave gets dug deeper and deeper. Everything started to fall apart. His friends turned on him. His life long friend started to doubt the validity of their friendship. Now it's unclear whether he'll ever have control again. Over the situation or himself. But, all starts to look hopeful for Cove when he gets forced to go to therapy. Maybe he can finally feel understood? Little does he know, Miss Narli Lewis understands a lot more about him then she gives off.

I squeezed my eyes shut, pushing down the rush of anxiety trying to drown me. His nose bumped mine again and his breath ghosted over my lips. I opened my eyes and stared unblinkingly into his.
