A new blood flowing through their bodies, their DNA mixed with living animals and more. Making them faster, stronger, and hungrier. Some people survived. Those said people could be living the best they could, some ought to find a "cure". Through the journey we follow Leo who has just lost his family from the infected. He doesn't want to, but he needs to trust others in mean to survive. He came to trust Akari who was part of a group that took him in. A trustful bond that turned stronger. A bond that was as strong as veins pumping blood through a crazed beast.

Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are.
