Remus didn't want friends. Could not have them. Was forbidden from having them. Was convinced he'd never have friends. He simply wasn't capable of such a thing. Then he arrived at Hogwarts and everything changed, but for better or worse he hasn't decided yet.

A Marauders-Remus-centered story based on one thing in his childhood being different.Other povs. Follows the books. 

Full Summary:
All Remus Lupin wanted, for as long as he could remember, was to go to Hogwarts. Now that he's there he wonders if he made a mistake attending school. Between struggling with his relationships, fighting with himself, and accidentally discovering something that makes him a target, he has his hands full. And that isn't even taking into account the full moon that plagues him with its coming. With many things happening year one is sure to be as eventful as it is stressful for the awkward boy and the three roommates he gets stuck with.

Only one persistent question keeps haunting him along with familiar and distinctly unpleasant dreams. A question which Remus slowly begins to piece together. What exactly happened to him when Greyback kidnapped him?
